Breaking down the project
The design process was straightforward. After meeting with NSBE members, the goal was to create stylish, everyday-wear pieces that celebrate STEM and Black culture while avoiding typical school colors like blue.
Collaborating with the team
Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with the NSBE team to ensure the designs met their vision, aligned with their brand identity, and captured the look they wanted.
Color Exploration
I worked with members of the NSBE team on a color exploration phase, where we sat down and discussed various colorways they appreciated. They ultimately chose the bottom-right option, as they felt it had the right balance of contrast and vibrancy. Interestingly, it also unintentionally evokes fall and Halloween colors, adding an intriguing seasonal touch.
